Yes, you take the one box, you only use half of that, and the other person you share it once opens.

in the water?

You take some cup and mix some thicken baking soda with little water like a paste, and you start to smooth every bath tube edge, or the wall, or the basin everywhere, you wait a min, and start to fill up the water, and you dump the rest of the half baking soda in it.

Can we just dump the whole box?

Yes. the edge no water, you still need to have some wet baking soda, the edge where you lean on it. 

And if you soak the night you going out, and immediately you can be inside with your bare foot?   Yes.

If too much, the sink, the toilet?   Yes.
